REINFORCED REAR MEMBER/SUB-FRAME

We paid our attention to the rear member to let tires ground effectively in various situation.

DRAG REAR MEMBER

The best way to get good record in drag race, you know is to have the maximum traction for four drive without wheel slip. We have developed JUN special drag member to gain the maximum traction by using Nissan multi linkage stock member.

NISSAN SILVIA/180SX and SKYLINE(R32/R33/R34)

  1. The attachment angle of forepart upper link was changed with a spherical bearing.
  2. The attachment angle of lower arm was changed.
  3. The body attachment angle of suspension member was changed.

REINFORCED REAR MEMBER

Though this car has a rear sub-frame which is a long structure in the vertical direction, rigidity isn't being taken into consideration with installation point of control arms that were placed far from main frame. Therefore, the suspension doesn't show effect to aim for because a sub-frame gets twisted when use high grip tyres or circuit running. We held the design which got over a weak point, and reinforced this.

Wheel alignment is necessary after installing. Exchange of control arms and/or rubber bushes are more effective.

TOYOTA 86(ZN6) / SUBARU BRZ(ZC6)

[ CHANGES ]

  1. The reinforcement bar was added to each mounting position between the sub-frame and the lower arm.
  2. The bracket for the mounting position of the reinforcement bar was welded.
  3. The mounting position of the lower arm was welded like a box form by gusset plates. And, each gusset plates connected by pipe welding. (the inside of the sub-frame)
  4. Additional welding points were done to the sub-frame
  5. Changed the stock rubber bush to the rigid one.
  • * Be careful about interference and clearance if the car installed non-genuine parts such as an exhaust muffler, an extra capacity differential cover, and so on.

HONDA S2000 (AP1後期/AP2)

[ CHANGES ]

  1. The cross bar is connected by welding to the mounting position of the lower arm from the body frame.
  2. Each mounting position between the lower arm, the upper arm, and the control arm was welded like a box.
  3. The forepart mounting position of the lower arm was reinforced toward the body frame by a gusset plate.
  4. Additional welding points were done to the sub-frame combination points.
  5. The rear suspension stiffener changed to the square iron pipe from thin cross section one's.
  6. Additional welding points were done to the base of the adjustable cam bolt.
  7. Additional welding points were done to the base of bolt which combines to the body frame.

[ REMARKS ]

  • A sub-frame for the latest model vehicle is able to install to the early model vehicle. It is enabled by changing the compliance of the upper arm to the latest model geometry. In this case, genuine rear upper arms for the latest model of right and left and four installation bolts are necessary.
  • * Be careful about interference and clearance if the car installed non-genuine parts such as an exhaust muffler, an extra capacity differential cover, and so on.
  • * The rear subframe for the early model of AP1 was discontinued.

MAZDA RX-7 (FD3S)

  1. The cross bar is connected by welding to the mounting position of the lower arm from the body frame.
  2. The forepart mounting position of the trailing-link arm was welded like a box.
  3. The mounting position of the toe control link was welded like a box.
  4. The rear mounting position of the lower arm was welded by a gusset plate.
  5. Each mounting position between the lower arm and the trailing-link was welded like a box.
  6. The outskirts of the part attached to the forepart body frame were welded like a box form.
  7. Additional welding points were done to each arm attachments.
  8. Additional welding points were done to each part from back side.

REINFORCED RIGID BUSH for REAR MEMBER

TOYOTA 86(ZN6) / SUBARU BRZ(ZC6)

The rubber bush which was use with stock sub-frame is for the good ride quality. But, it causes distortion and lazy traction. The rigid bush will improve these weaknesses.
